Blashford open!

The reserve was closed today due to strong winds, a couple of tree’s down across footpaths and a high risk of more doing the same given the forecast of ongoing strong winds during the day.

35mm of rain was recorded by the end of the day, the bulk of which had fallen overnight – the river was high! I was actually surprised that it wasn’t flowing along Ellingham Drove by the end of the day, but just as well as the main reserve car park, although passable with care, was a few inches underwater with the rainfall alone.

However with the wind easing off the reserve will be open as normal again tomorrow – unless anything else happens in the meantime!
