After doing our count mostly in the lull between the heavier rain that followed it was a surprise when, all of a sudden, the sun came out and we locked up the reserve under clear blue skies. This allowed me to get s picture of one of the snipe from Tern hide, always a pleasure to see.

Otherwise my only wildlife picture of the day was of a huge spider that ran across the Centre floor, it is one of the “House spiders”, perhaps T. gigantea as it was very large indeed!
