I was at Blashford today and got a few snaps of bits of wildlife. At lunchtime I got this migrant hawker behind the Centre as I was having my sandwich.
I then spent the afternoon working in the office and as I was getting ready to leave at the end of the day saw there were lots of common darter enjoying the late sunshine on the logs around the car park. I got a picture of one especially bright red one.
I then accompanied Ed over to the Tern hide to lock up and have a look over Ibsley Water, there was little on note apart from the great white egret on the shore just to the east of the hide, here showing the colour-rings off to some effect.
So a bit more blue, red and white than red, white and blue, but a colourful day.
