First osprey and a gathering of godwits

Yesterday around 300 black-tailed godwits dropped onto Ibsley Water at 3.30pm and were joined by another group of 300 or so at 4pm. A common scoter was also reported from the Tern Hide at 4pm but was not seen again today.

Today the first Blashford osprey of the year was seen over Ibsley Water and Mockbeggar lake at 7.15am this morning. Sightings this afternoon included another group of c.300 black-tailed godwits and a little ringed plover on Ibsley Water.

The bramblings at the woodland hide rose to 4 (3 males and 1 female) yesterday but only 1 was reported today. A single mealy redpoll was also seen yesterday.
