A few bird sightings and tomorrow’s management works.

Birds reported in the Hide log books today:

Little gull,  male red-crested pochard, 10 black-tailed godwit – Ibsley Water

Water rail, green sandpiper, 2 kingfisher – Ivy lake

Please note staff and volunteers will be carrying out habitat management and maintenance tasks on the far west shore of Ibsley Water tomorrow. This will inevitably cause some disturbance to the more nervous wildfowl species, but does also cause a lot of birds to move to the eastern side of the lake much nearer to the hides, so closer views are likely.
