Not much to report apart from a single ruff flying round Ibsley Water first thing. The moth trap failed to work so there were no moths, a real shame as last night was one of the best for trapping conditions this year. I was busy in a meeting for much of the day and only got out briefly, although I did grab a shot of a little egret on Ibsley Water from the Tern hide, they are much less frequent on the reserve now than they used to be.
Despite looking there was no certain sighting of the lesser emperor dragonflies today, but it was a good deal windier over Ivy Lake.
